Biltmore gardens

A friend gifted us with tickets to visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, and it was amazing.  I don’t have enough words to describe how much I loved these beautiful gardens.  We got there as it opened, and were the only ones in the gardens for the first part of the morning. These are a few of my favorite sights from this beautiful day.

In September, we got to visit Joey in his home in Corpus Christi, TX.  So interesting and impressive to see the plane he is learning to fly.  It was great to have time to hang out with him, and he treated us royally.  It was the last month for hummingbirds in our yard.  I loved seeing them, and am feeling kinda sad to see them go.  Looking forward to their return in the spring.  It was the month of my birthday.  It was the month I started working in the office after 27 years of being an at-home mom and homemaker.

I didn’t take as many pictures as usual, but here are some of the photo highlights of my September.

August was a month of hot weather, beautiful flowers, time with family and friends.  And of course, cats and birds.  We got to visit Danny and his family in the end of July/beginning of August, and Sam’s family in mid-August.  We had guests at our home as well, which we love.  It was a month of saying goodby as we sent Jacob back off to college.  I miss him so much, but am so happy for him to be at a school he loves, with top-quality people and classes.

Here are some of my photo highlights from this month.

July was a month of visitors, and visits!  We really enjoy it when special friends come to hang out at our house for a few days!  And we got to go down to Miami to see Danny and his family at the end of the month…  what a treat.  July photo highlights are HERE.
